Integrative engagements

Bois de Veine Inc. (BVI) and Pulp & Paper Plus Inc. (PPP) are integrative engagements that present fictitious companies. BVI is a case about a furniture manufacturing company, and PPP is about a small public company that manufactures, processes and markets sanitary tissue.

The BVI integrative engagement is divided into three main sections, including a description of the industry, a description of the company and five components that each cover an area of expertise:

  • Information System – Planning and Control
  • Audit Strategy
  • Costing System
  • Tax Planning
Each of these separate components presents a case study.

The PPP integrative engagement is also divided into three main sections, including a description of the audit programs and standards, a description of the company and the areas of expertise that relate to the various steps in the PPP assurance engagement:

  • Risk Assessment and Tests of Controls
  • Audit of Inventories
  • Audit Procedures
  • Special Engagement
  • Evaluation of Results
